Assignment Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Software Engineer to support the development of connected software solutions within a leading industrial technology environment.

What You Will Work On

• Drive software development across all product lifecycle phases
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Android-based applications and services
• Develop software solutions for embedded and device-oriented platforms
• Build integrations between onboard systems and cloud services
• Design reliable communication mechanisms between edge devices and backend platforms
• Support connected product initiatives and digital service ecosystems
• Develop scalable and maintainable software architectures
• Troubleshoot and optimize software performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams
• Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices
• Ensure software quality through testing, validation, and best practices

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on Android development expertise
• Experience building robust and scalable Android applications and services
• Experience working with embedded or device-based software platforms
• Strong understanding of connected systems and digital ecosystems
• Experience integrating device software with cloud-based services
• Knowledge of IoT communication patterns and protocols
• Experience with REST, MQTT, gRPC, or similar technologies
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Experience designing reliable data exchange mechanisms between edge and cloud systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle

📍 Alternative base: Gothenburg (with occasional travel to Eskilstuna)
