Join us at the Division of Nano and Biophysics, Department of Physics and Astronomy, and help advance knowledge in the electron microscopy field field using state-of-the-art electron microscopes.
You will be working an a innovative group and join an international network of collaboration partners for advanced imaging, diffraction, spectroscopy and in situ electron microscopy.
About us
Division of Nano- and Bio Physics is working at the forefront of experimental and theoretical research in the field of electron microscopy and correlation of atomic structure to properties.
We combine world-class infrastructure, including the access to MC2 clean rooma and Chalmers materials analysis laboratory with state-of-the-art electron microscopes.
Our specific mission is to understand fundamental mechanisms that determine the properties of materials and enable the design of materials for tomorrow.
From quarks to the cosmos – atoms to devices.
At https://www.chalmers.se/en/departments/physics-and-astronomy/, we explore everything from the smallest scale to the largest, in order to understand, explain and improve our lives.
About the research project
You will use electron microscopy for imaging, diffraction, spectroscopy and in situ studies to correlate detailed material structure to properties.
The work includes method developments for revealing specific aspects of the correlation between material structure and properties.
