Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm offers a wide range of language courses for the public.
We are continually developing our range of courses and wish to connect with experienced language instructors who can teach adults for a few hours per week—mainly in the evenings.

We are looking for Japanese language instructors for the spring semester, primarily for physical classroom courses in the evenings and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, preparing, planning, and following up on lessons.
  Taking part in course development as agreed.
• Contributing to quality assurance by understanding participants’ expectations before the course and evaluating feedback after the course ends.
• Maintaining contact with participants between lessons regarding course content, such as preparation or homework.

What we’re looking for

Language instructors at Folkuniversitetet must have:

• Good IT skills.
• Good administrative skills
• Expertise in the subject/professional experience in Japanese.
• Experience of teaching Japanese to adults.
• Proficiency in Swedish and/or English.

Your proficiency in the teaching language should be equivalent to that of a native speaker, and we would prefer you to have a relevant academic degree.
We are looking for someone who has the willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, has good social and initiative skills, a positive attitude towards change and development, and shares the values of our organisation.
