Assignment Description

A senior Cloud Security Engineer is sought to strengthen cloud infrastructure security and provide a safe, scalable environment for application teams.
This role is part of an engineering team focused on building secure platforms, enabling hundreds of teams to deliver innovative and secure digital services.

The position involves designing, developing, and implementing security guardrails and automation that protect infrastructure and applications from evolving threats.
The role also provides technical leadership and support to other teams across areas such as cloud security, data protection, encryption, and secure development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement security guardrails for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using defined security controls
• 
  
• Utilize tools like Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC) to detect security gaps and apply remediation through code or policy changes
• 
  
• Collaborate with incident response and security operations teams to prevent and respond to threats
• 
  
• Participate in proof-of-concept testing and early adoption of new cloud security features
• 
  
• Build and maintain automation tools to continuously improve platform security
• 
  
• Support product and service teams on security best practices in areas such as network security, data encryption, secure coding, and business continuity

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS
• 
  
• Hands-on experience configuring platform capabilities such as IAM policies, security configurations, etc.
• 
  
• Proficient in scripting and understanding basic code
• 
  
• Experience working with infrastructure as code, especially Terraform
• 
  
• Demonstrates a passion for security and a deep curiosity for how systems work
• 
  
• Self-driven, proactive problem-solver with a commitment to ongoing learning and collaboration

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to various audiences
• 
  
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapting to change
